Cross Training Intergenerational Programs for Lent Wednesdays at 5:30 pm
Cross Training in athletics is to practice a variety of exercises to achieve fitness and strength of the entire body. At Saint Francis UMC, we believe a multidisciplinary practice is also important for the total health of our spiritual bodies. In Cross Training we will follow the example of the early church described in Acts 2, who spent their time together in study, worship, breaking bread, and fellowship
There are three parts to Cross Training:
- 5:30 pm, dinner
- 6:30 pm, praise music and worship , and
- 7:00 pm, an intergenerational program for kids, youth and adults (Bible study option for youth and adults).

InterPlay is a body centered practice that playfully reintegrates body and spirit and is dedicated to community building, creativity, fun and transformation. InterPlay is based in movement, voice, story and stillness, the ancient tools of spiritual seekers and communities for connecting with the Holy. InterPlay is invitational, gentle, and accessible to anyone. All that's needed is a spirit of willingness. In a safe, supportive atmosphere, we'll discover new ways to deepen our relationship with self, others and God. Ginny Going and Tom Henderson call their ministry embodied spirituality and offer participants simple, accessible ways to explore physicality as a gift from the Divine, connect their stories with the stories from sacred texts and experience more ease, joy and grace in all parts of their lives.
