Saint Francis Brass Band
The St. Francis Brass Band was formed in 2002 with eight players and has since grown to over 40 players. They provide music for worship and other church events on a regular basis and continue to serve our entire community with quality music of many varieties. During the last few years they have played on television for the WRAL Lighting of the Christmas Tower, performed Christmas concerts at Cary Towne Center, played to encourage the "Race of Grace" runners, and performed at other community events. The players come from all walks of life and represent a number of different churches in our area. Many were high school band players who took many years off before picking up a horn again. The Brass Band always welcomes new adults with experience playing their instrument and who are willing to be committed to the program. They play
for the glory of God and the enjoyment of listeners, thankful for
the opportunity of making beautiful music together. Rehearsal times: Sundays, 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. in the Gathering Space. Director: Doug Amaxopulos or 460-0888
