Open Arms Inclusion Ministry
The Open Arms group is a congregational, lay-lead inclusion ministry that strives to find ways to help all feel welcomed in our church. The group has worked on various projects such as getting automatic doors installed, purchasing large-print hymnals, providing training for ushers and teachers on welcoming special populations and providing educational opportunities for adults and children about special populations. The group is especially proud of their VBS leadership that introduced and educated our young members about two agencies that work with special populations, Southeastern Guide Dogs and The Pittsboro Therapeutic Riding program. If you are interested in being part of the group or have questions please contact Jenny Peat at jpeat@nc.rr.com.
