One of the most rewarding experiences possible for lay people is an international mission trip. There are so many people in our world in need of help of basic needs like food, shelter, and medical care. How easy it can be to forget the many privileges we have and to forget that daily survival may be a struggle for others.
For many who go on these trips, the first step "out of the boat and onto the water with Christ" is the greatest. It takes a step of Faith on the part of the servant answering the call. But once that call has been answered, the opportunity to grow and serve others is incredible. Through these acts of Faith and Love, you can bring Hope to a world that is so desperately in need of the message of God's Love.
| God takes the initiative in crossing the cultural bridge. You participate in the work of God's spirit by following him across the cultural bridge and entering into other's lives. |
