| Saint Francis United Methodist Church recognizes the value of education. We want to embrace and elevate those individuals, of any age, who seek to cultivate and season their own gifts, talents, and passions through both traditional and non-traditional educational opportunities to give service to others.
The Saint Francis Holloway Educational Endowment Fund has been established to facilitate this vision. As contributions to the endowment fund near the original first goal set by the Fund Committee, we envision having an initial principal balance of $100,000 to allow us to continue awarding annual scholarships, while enabling the principal to generate continued monetary growth for future educational activities and opportunities. Your contribution makes these dreams a reality.
To provide educational scholarships for interested Saint Francis members, the Educational Endowment Fund also provides an opportunity for both church and non-church members to offer memorials, honorary gifts, and contributions of cash, stocks, or estates, and even the designation of fundraisers. Consider honoring your loved ones with this gift and recognition. The Fund has 501 C status and thus can accept matching grants for businesses for
contributions made to the Educational Endowment Fund.
As of May, 2009, the Scholarship Committee has awarded 73 scholarships to individuals attending colleges and universities covering five states for a total of nearly $35,000. To see the list of scholarship winners click here .
