The Lorenzo P. "Joe" Plyer Library
Saint Francis United Methodist Church has an excellent
library, based around the generous donations of former member, the Reverend Dr.
Joe Plyer. The Plyer Library is located at the north end
of the administrative wing.
There are resources, both print and nonprint, for all
ages. Resources are gathered to support the educational
curriculum of the church and for recreational reading as well for all
users. There is also an excellent
reference and study collection due to the gifts of Dr. Plyer and others.
New shelving has been procured to house our growing
collection. Note the children's book
section is on a set of lower shelves for easy access. Church history and our
institutional memory book is located on the top shelves.
In addition, there are resources for your Disciple Bible
study, your youth group activity, your daily devotional, and about being Methodists. Donations are
accepted. There is also a collection of
resources for Adult Sunday school classes to share and recycle their study
books. To leave these donations of
completed studies, place them by the yellow box just inside the doorway.
To take an item sign the book card, date it, and leave in
the yellow box by the doorway.
Mary Holloway, Librarian.
