Children's Music Ministry

The Saint Francis children's choirs are open to children from age 3 to 5th grade.  There are three choirs divided by age level: Star Choir, Choir Partners, and Saintly Singers.  The choir season runs from after Labor Day until the beginning of May.  For 2011-2012, the choirs resume rehearsals September 7, 2011.  During the year the choirs prepare anthems for designated church services and work on a musical as well as a concert.  The choirs also enjoy doing outreach in the community.  Please REGISTER ONLINE for children's choirs.  Summer Music and Drama Camps are also offered.  See below for more information.  The children's choirs were offered a wonderful learning and singing opportunity this past year when Saint Francis hosted  "Children Singing God's Praise"!  Children's Choir Festival on Saturday February 19th, 2011.  To see a program and pictures from this event, click here .

Summer Music and Drama Camps

These camps take place in June, July, and August for one week each and last from 9:00-12:00 noon.  There is no prior experience necessary and there is a wide range of ages accepted, mainly elementary and early middle school children.  Each camp that is offered features a specific musical.  Some examples are "Annie", "Mary Poppins", "The Sound of Music", and "High School Musical".  Throughout the week the children work on vocal skills, fun and creative drama exercises and games, and learn the highlighted songs from the featured musical.  At the end of the week there is a performance for family and friends.  Children must register and there is limited space.  See Music Events Schedule for the dates and featured musicals for this summer's camps.
